Position Overview:

We are looking for a devoted and empathetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential care to patients. The CNA will work under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist patients with mobility, including transferring and ambulating as necessary.
  • Measure and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the patient's health status to the supervising nurse.
  • Facilitate patient meals and ensure hydration needs are met.
  • Carry out basic nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter management, and bowel and bladder assistance.
  • Help with range-of-motion exercises and other rehabilitation efforts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Engage in care planning and accurately document the care provided in the patient's medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the relevant state.
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and operate efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Physical strength to lift and assist patients, along with fulfilling other assigned duties.

Work Environment:

  • Work may occur in various healthcare settings, including hospitals and nursing homes.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required.
  • Physical demands may include lifting and moving patients and standing for extended periods.
  • Exposure to infectious diseases and other common healthcare hazards may occur.
