We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team at AdventHealth Heart of Florida. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

About the Role

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities
  • Identify patients by using AdventHealth's approved guidelines to confirm patient/exam accuracy before continuing with patient examination.
  • Review and ensure physician request meets clinically valid exam indicator requirements.
  • Prepare appropriate radionuclide for procedure, explain procedure to patient, and aseptically administer radionuclide using universal BSI principles.
  • Ensure that equipment has met all quality control requirements and working with a minimum of supervision, performs patient examination utilizing age-specific care techniques in a safe and responsible manner, and evaluates image quality to insure good technical and diagnostic detail.
  • Presents completed exam and any patient historical data to radiologist/cardiologist for review.
  • Assists with image manipulation or additional imaging as requested.
  • Assists patient with dressing, answering any questions the patient may have regarding their exam and expectations of results, and releases patient with directions to exit the hospital if needed.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher in health science related field (Preferred)
  • Current valid State of Florida license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - CMNT OR
  • ARRT-N (American Registration of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
