Counselor - MATER

Job Summary:

The Primary Counselor is a critical member of our treatment team, responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to high-risk pregnant and/or parenting women engaged in drug treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of addiction treatment, psychotherapy, and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with the treatment team and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Provides individual and family counseling, as well as group therapy sessions, to support clients in their recovery journey.
• Develops and implements treatment plans that address the psychosocial, addiction treatment, educational, and vocational needs of clients.
• Completes chart work and other required written documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Interacts with colleagues, visitors, and other staff in a professional and respectful manner.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Preferably licensed social worker, licensed professional counselor, or certified addictions counselor.
• One year of experience in addiction treatment is preferred.

Working Conditions:

This role requires regular contact with children, and the selected candidate must meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including a Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, a Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check.
