Admissions Administrative Support Specialist

About the Role:
The Stamford Hospital is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Outpatient Rehab Administration Department. This dynamic individual will provide critical support to our team, ensuring seamless administrative and clerical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional reception support, including answering phone calls, taking messages, and greeting patients.
- Manage registration and insurance verification processes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Schedule appointments and modify schedules for staff members as needed.
- Perform various clerical duties, such as sending faxes, processing co-pays, and ordering supplies.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years' experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a hospital setting. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Prior experience with insurance verification is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team environment. A two-year college degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
