As a Medical Laboratory Technician at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Your expertise will be essential in conducting routine and stat laboratory tests, ensuring precision and accuracy in your work.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and report test results for waived, moderate, and high complexity clinical laboratory procedures.
- Operate computerized laboratory data systems and applications as assigned.
- Review pending work using established protocols and ensure proper retention of all specimens.
- Participate in Quality Control and Quality Management for assigned areas.
- Effectively operate laboratory instrumentation and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Comply with Policies and Procedures of Prisma Health and understand standards and conditions set forth by governmental and accrediting agencies.
- Employs good organizational talents and prioritizes tasks appropriately.
- Communicates effectively with laboratory leaders, pathologists, and fellow team members.
- Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology.
- MLT (ASCP) or MLT(ASCP)cm or MLT (AMT) certification.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of laboratory and office equipment.
