About the Opportunity

Guthrie Cortland Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist to join our expanding team. As a member of our anesthesia department, you will have the opportunity to work in a hospital with four operating rooms, utilizing the Anesthesia Care Team Model. Our department manages the OR schedule, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Practice Highlights
  • Practice in a hospital with four operating rooms

  • Broad spectrum of cases except cardiac, thoracic, and neurosurgery
  • Lots of Regional Anesthesia
  • 75% of your time doing your cases, 25% of your time medically directing CRNAs or teaching Residents

    • $454,000 to $540,000 total annual compensation

    • Allowance for licensure fees, DEA certification, and renewals
  • $10,000 referral bonus if you refer a physician that we hire on a full-time basis, $20,000 if the physician is an Anesthesiologist

  • Meeting time - 14 days with options for home study
  • $3,400 annually for conference registration, certifications, and membership fees for specialty-specific medical societies
  • Teaching - Guthrie has seven residency programs, including the Anesthesiology Residency. Guthrie is a regional campus of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
  • Physician mentoring and leadership training opportunities are available.
