Job Summary

Roanoke City Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to students with special needs in a school-based setting.

Key Responsibilities

* Evaluate students with special needs to identify areas of need and develop individualized plans to address these needs.
* Provide occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting, including individual and group sessions.
* Collaborate with educational team members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents and educational team members as needed.

Requirements

* Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Virginia licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
* National certification as an Occupational Therapist.
* Experience working with students with special needs in a school-based setting preferred.

Working Conditions

* High levels of standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential tasks.
