The Amazon Web Services (AWS) team is looking for a talented Data Engineer who is passionate about data and the insights that large amounts of data sets can provide. As a member of the AWS Kumo team, you will play a key part in helping us to continue our journey as the world's most customer-obsessed company.

Our team provides technology and trusted expertise that intelligently anticipate and resolve AWS customer needs, helping them adopt, optimize, and operate at scale. We own customer-facing applications like Trusted Advisor, Personal Health Dashboard, AWS Forums, and Support Center and internal tooling such as Case Management, Troubleshooting, and Customer Event Management.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop scalable data architectures to support our growing customer base.
  2. Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement advanced analytics algorithms that exploit our rich data sets for statistical analysis, prediction, clustering, and machine learning.
  3. Work closely with Business Analysts across teams to build and verify hypotheses to improve the AWS Support business.
  4. Continuously improve our data management processes to simplify self-service support for customers.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of data engineering experience.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR.
  • Experience with any ETL tool like Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, Datastage.
Salary: $94,200 - $190,000 per year
