GENERAL OVERVIEW
The Filler Operator is responsible for the operation of filling machinery across various product lines while adhering to industry regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain cleanliness, set up, operate, and oversee production line equipment.
2. Complete necessary documentation and conduct scheduled quality assessments.
3. Monitor product weights, seals, caps, and overall packaging integrity.
4. Adjust filler timing and filling processes; perform checks as required.
5. Identify and resolve basic to moderate operational challenges.
6. Collect samples for quality assurance evaluations.
7. Ensure appropriate packaging materials are utilized for each product.
8. Monitor for jams on labeling equipment and effectively manage threading to minimize downtime.
9. Execute filler and line changeovers safely and efficiently.
10. Complete cleaning protocols after production runs.
11. Prepare equipment for subsequent runs, including necessary size adjustments.
12. Maintain communication with various departments and report any issues that may hinder production efficiency.
13. Document all required information in compliance with standard operating procedures.
14. Employ a continuous improvement mindset to identify process enhancement opportunities.
15. Report any food safety or quality concerns to management promptly.
16. Uphold safe working conditions and comply with all health and safety regulations.
17. Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and corporate standards regarding food safety, quality, and sanitation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in warehouse, production, or related fields is advantageous.
- Certification and/or licenses may be required during employment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient in legible record-keeping.
- Competent in using company computer systems.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic operations.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
