Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at New Perspective Senior Living LLC. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents, ensuring high-quality food service and exceptional dining experiences.

About the Job:

  • The Cook will be responsible for following established corporate recipes or those identified by the Culinary Services Director, ensuring compliance with ServSafe, governmental, and corporate regulations for food safety and handling.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Adjust food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns, providing excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and guidelines, utilizing kitchen equipment and tools effectively.
  2. Ensure proper food temperature and presentation, meeting high standards of quality and presentation.
  3. Maintain accurate inventory records and order supplies as needed, minimizing waste and excess.
  4. Work collaboratively with the front-of-house staff to ensure seamless food service, providing excellent communication and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; culinary training or certification preferred.
  • At least one year of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior services setting.
  • Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols and procedures.
