Job Summary

The Medical Support Specialist, under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, plays a vital role in assisting with the delivery of physical therapy services. This position involves working closely with adult and geriatric patients, providing transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities as outlined in their treatment plan. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with patients, personnel, and outside agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services, including transportation and therapeutic exercises
  • Work closely with Licensed Physical Therapists to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients, promoting independence and rehabilitation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination

Requirements

This position requires a valid NJ state license, a degree from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapy Assistants, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Ideal candidates will be flexible, possess personal integrity, and have excellent interpersonal skills. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the objectives of the facility is essential.

Compensation
