Job SummaryWe are seeking an innovative and dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our brand-new wellness clinic in Phoenix, AZ. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver primary care services with a client-centered, harm-reduction focus
- Administer medications such as psychiatric, Vivitrol, Suboxone, or Subutex
- Dispense medications and refer patients to specialists, hospitals, community agencies, or in-house staff as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely records, write reports, and support letters
- Manage emergency medical situations and provide emergency care
- Assist providers in exam rooms, escort patients, and take vital signs
- Give instructions to patients and ensure all related reports, labs, and information are filed in patients' medical records
- Keep exam rooms stocked with medical supplies and maintain instruments
- Work to keep the clinic running on time and take telephone messages
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
- Maintain logs and required checks, such as refrigerator temperatures and emergency medications
- Perform physical examinations, procedures, and lab specimens, and record results
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assist with quality improvement and development of creative strategies
- Advocate for individual client needs and ensure access to effective care, follow-up, and resources
- File necessary prior authorizations and provide health information to community and clients
- Participate in relevant meetings and actions, engage with groups representing client needs, and participate in policy development
- High school diploma; some college preferred
- LPN license, with a current certificate from the state regulatory body
- 3 years' experience as a LPN in medication-assisted treatment and family medicine
- Phlebotomy experience
- Bilingual, Spanish-speaking preferred
- CPR certified within 3 months of hire
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a stable internet connection
- Reliable transportation for mobile care
- Experience as a scribe is a plus
