Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geomatics Survey Team Lead to join our Geomatics Solution Center in Chattanooga, TN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our survey crew and ensuring the successful completion of various survey projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Take direction from the survey manager and implement a work plan to ensure timely and accurate completion of survey projects.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrate superior organization skills and provide direction, production, safety, and actions of the field crew.
  • Survey Operations: Familiarity with Trimble surveying equipment, including robotic total station and GPS system, automatic level, and electronic data collector.
  • Boundary and Right-of-Way Surveys: Familiarity and ability to perform boundary and right-of-way surveys.
  • Heavy Construction and Layout Work: Familiarity with heavy construction and the use of existing design plans and construction drawings for layout work.
  • Data Acquisition and Management: Provide data acquisition and management for topographical and as-built surveys.
  • Quality Assurance: Review field data, reports, and maps to ensure accuracy and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: HS Diploma or GED required, Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in boundary, topographic, and construction surveying.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge in boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, basic knowledge of boundary and legal principles, and 3D laser scanning abilities.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in all seasons, physical job that requires heavy lifting, climbing, and walking long distances sometimes over rough terrain.
  • Travel: Frequent travel out of town, per diem applies.
