Senior CNC Lathe Machinist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team at ConsultNet. As a key member of our machine shop, you will be responsible for setting up, running, and troubleshooting all company CNC lathe machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality parts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance and part quality
  • Train and mentor junior machinists to ensure a high level of skill and knowledge within the team
  • Coach and develop other machinists as needed, providing area leadership and guidance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 6S standards
  • Pull required fixtures, holding devices, and materials as needed
  • Insert tool holders or install pre-set tools in the machine
  • Continuously improve inspection techniques and identify causes or problems that require correction
  • Check machine readiness to ensure functionality and performance
Requirements:
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), are essential for success in this role
  • English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions are highly valued
  • Intermediate math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, and fractions, for print reading and tolerance determination
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • CNC lathe operator/machinist diploma or certification preferred
  • Minimum ten years of experience in a machine shop environment
  • Minimum ten years of experience in CNC lathes machines
