Scope of Work

Engage closely with the accounting team and operational managers to cultivate a strong organizational framework that promotes high operational efficiency.

  • Develop and manage comprehensive financial measurement, control, and reporting systems that align with both strategic and tactical business needs, including tax planning.
  • Evaluate existing ERP and accounting systems to ensure operational efficiencies and assess future enhancement needs.
  • Assist in formulating annual and long-term financial objectives, monitoring performance against these goals, and proactively addressing potential challenges.
  • Lead initiatives to assess and optimize operating performance, maximizing shareholder value while evaluating investment opportunities and profitability of major product lines.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and key clients to support the company's strategic objectives and cash flow requirements.
  • Negotiate financing and leasing agreements, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with financial covenants.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and other executives on critical issues and decisions.
  • Present relevant financial data, highlighting significant strengths and challenges, while offering alternative strategies to enhance overall performance.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and capability to thrive in a demanding environment.
  • Previous experience as CFO or Vice President of Finance in a notable company focused on technology-driven product manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with family-owned, professionally managed enterprises.
  • Relevant background in metal manufacturing, job costing environments, or government contracting.
  • Proven ability to drive change, adapt to shifting priorities, and exhibit versatility.
  • Effective communicator at all organizational levels, including board interactions.
  • Exemplifies high ethical standards and values teamwork, with a track record of building successful teams.
  • Strategic and visionary thinker with extensive experience in financial planning, accounting, treasury, IT (ERP systems), risk management, and acquisition planning.
  • Ability to see the big picture and understand how various components interconnect.

Education

A CPA designation combined with an MBA is highly desirable.
