Job Summary

The Outpatient Hemodialysis Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing safe and effective hemodialysis therapy to patients with end-stage renal disease. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to teamwork and quality improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of hemodialysis treatments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans and ensure seamless transitions between hospital and home settings.
  • Administer medications and perform various medical procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient's physical and emotional needs, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Serve as a resource for colleagues and provide education on hemodialysis-related topics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; RN license and current CPR certification mandatory.
  • At least 9 months of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in nephrology or hemodialysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 200 pounds and stand for long periods.
