YAI is seeking a Clinical Behavior Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in assessing and addressing the habilitative, behavioral, and psychiatric requirements of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across various programs.

Under the guidance of BIS leadership, the Clinical Behavior Specialist will undertake essential clinical responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the habilitative and behavioral needs of individuals through both formal and informal methods.
  • Performing behavioral evaluations, including functional behavior assessments (FBAs), to understand the factors influencing behavior.
  • Utilizing data analysis to inform the development of tailored intervention strategies based on evidence-based practices.
  • Creating individualized support plans that incorporate proactive strategies aligned with agency philosophy and regulatory standards.
  • Implementing effective treatment interventions and ensuring adherence to established protocols for consent and approval.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of support plans, making timely adjustments as necessary.
  • Training and guiding direct care staff on behavior management techniques and the implementation of support plans.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary meetings to provide updates and recommendations regarding individuals' progress.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant clinical field or a National Board certification in behavior analysis.
  • Current licensure in Mental Health Counseling or equivalent qualifications.

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of I/DD and associated conditions.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic approaches and interventions.
  • Certification in crisis intervention strategies.
