YAI is seeking a Clinical Behavior Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in assessing and addressing the habilitative, behavioral, and psychiatric requirements of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across various programs.
Under the guidance of BIS leadership, the Clinical Behavior Specialist will undertake essential clinical responsibilities, including:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the habilitative and behavioral needs of individuals through both formal and informal methods.
- Performing behavioral evaluations, including functional behavior assessments (FBAs), to understand the factors influencing behavior.
- Utilizing data analysis to inform the development of tailored intervention strategies based on evidence-based practices.
- Creating individualized support plans that incorporate proactive strategies aligned with agency philosophy and regulatory standards.
- Implementing effective treatment interventions and ensuring adherence to established protocols for consent and approval.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of support plans, making timely adjustments as necessary.
- Training and guiding direct care staff on behavior management techniques and the implementation of support plans.
- Participating in interdisciplinary meetings to provide updates and recommendations regarding individuals' progress.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in a relevant clinical field or a National Board certification in behavior analysis.
- Current licensure in Mental Health Counseling or equivalent qualifications.
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of I/DD and associated conditions.
- Familiarity with various therapeutic approaches and interventions.
- Certification in crisis intervention strategies.
