As a key member of the LKQ team, you will play a vital role in the dismantling process, ensuring that vehicles are safely and efficiently broken down into their component parts. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the dismantling of vehicles, working closely with experienced dismantlers to learn and develop your skills.
  • Learn and implement the system of dismantling, tagging, and storing of all parts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Engine Dismantlers to learn engine dismantling techniques and procedures.
  • Comply with all safety standards and requirements, maintaining a safe and hazard-free workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a background in body repair, mechanical, or previous dismantling experience.
  • Complete set of tools as needed to carry out duties.
  • Ability to follow instructions, accept constructive feedback, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal tactfully with customers, co-workers, and the public.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, and dependable individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift at least 50-75 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
