Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring efficient and professional diagnostic procedures, and providing safe and age-appropriate care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor radiologic technologists to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance tests to ensure accurate and reliable diagnostic results.
  • Manage departmental resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are competent in all aspects of radiologic technology.
  • Participate in the hiring process and ensure new staff members are properly oriented and trained.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, departmental operations, and staff performance.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Registered Medical Sonographer or Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT Computed Tomography or ARRT Mammography or ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging or ARRT Nuclear Technology or ARRT Sonography or Cert Nuclear Med Tech.
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor.
  • Three (3) years of experience in radiologic technology, with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS degree in Health Sciences or related field.
  • Experience with quality control and quality assurance programs.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
