Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our radiology department, ensuring that all imaging procedures are performed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of radiologic technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and high-quality imaging results.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Manage departmental resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure that imaging procedures meet or exceed established standards.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental education and training programs to ensure that staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental budgets and financial plans to ensure that resources are allocated effectively.
  • Represent the department at hospital-wide meetings and committees to promote collaboration and communication.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Current certification in radiologic technology (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in radiologic technology, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS degree in Health Sciences or related field.
  • Experience with quality control and quality assurance activities.
  • Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
