Job Description:

Hanford, a leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for various projects, including those in environmentally sensitive habitats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and tooling to ensure accurate estimates
  • Identify and quantify potential uncertainties to capture the full range of possible costs
  • Update estimates as necessary based on addendum information and project scope changes
  • Manage assigned projects from initial solicitation to project handoff
  • Coordinate quantity take-offs, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and professional services

Requirements:

  • 3-10 years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably in civil construction
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of planting, seeding, irrigation, and plant maintenance
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency in estimating database software (HCSS Heavy Bid) and take-off software (on-screen take-off, Planswift)

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is between $85,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Hanford offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
