Hotel Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Hotel Housekeeper to join our team at DelMonte Hotel Group. As a Hotel Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized supply cart to ensure efficient room cleaning.
  • Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry linens to meet guest room linen needs.
  • Change linen and make beds to provide a clean and comfortable sleeping environment.
  • Sweep, scrub, and mop floors to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to ensure a clean and polished appearance.
  • Wash walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills to maintain a clean and well-maintained environment.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal area to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies to maintain a clean and well-maintained environment.
  • Move furniture, hang and remove drapes, and roll carpets as needed to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Replenish guest room supplies, i.e. drinking glasses, bathroom amenities and writing supplies, to ensure a clean and well-stocked environment.
  • Ensure lost and found articles are tagged and turned into management to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Inspect room for maintenance needs and check all fixtures, equipment and room conditions (television, radio, lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance. Report deficiencies to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment.
  • Clean lobby, lounge, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways as assigned to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Replace light bulbs as needed to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment.
  • Deep clean all assigned guest rooms and replenish guest amenities and supplies as needed to maintain a clean and well-maintained environment.
  • Complete second housekeeping service for assigned rooms as needed to maintain a clean and well-maintained environment.
Requirements:
  • Up to 1 month related experience or training in housekeeping.
  • Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills.
