Position Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable In-House Staff Tax Accountant who possesses experience in, or a keen interest in, various facets of tax operations. This role will primarily focus on direct tax compliance, while also engaging in tax provision, controversy, and planning for both direct and indirect taxes, encompassing federal, state, and international income tax, as well as US sales and use tax and global VAT. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our Corporate Tax Senior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns, along with international forms such as 5471 and 8865, estimated payments, and extensions.
  • Calculate book/tax differences and generate supporting documentation.
  • Conduct research on international, federal, and state tax matters.
  • Identify and implement process improvements; utilize automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare global income tax provisions and related workpapers, and draft tax footnotes and disclosures.
  • Perform tax account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Assist with tax audits and respond to tax notices.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department, demonstrating progressive technical skills and responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with strong accounting competencies.
  • MBT, MBA, or CPA preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and tax preparation software; familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Experience in organizing workpapers for audit-ready documentation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and ensure completion.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing a variety of projects with competing priorities.
  • Motivated to learn with a strong work ethic.
