About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RV Service Technician to join our team at Blue Compass RV. As a Mobile RV Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining recreational vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition for safe and enjoyable travels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and structural components to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform repairs efficiently and effectively to ensure RVs are in proper working condition.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and lubrication to prevent breakdowns and ensure the longevity of RV systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, lights, and appliances. Repair or replace faulty components as needed.
  • Service and repair various appliances commonly found in RVs, such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, and water heaters.
  • Diagnose problems with RV heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Repair or replace components such as furnaces, air conditioners, and vents to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.
  • Address structural issues such as roof leaks, siding damage, and window or door problems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns, explain necessary repairs or maintenance procedures, and provide recommendations for optimal RV performance and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an RV technician or similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues in RVs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement repairs in a timely manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
