Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all department functions, including staffing, managing, and mentoring a team of Career Services Personnel.
  • Ensure that each student interacts with Career Services staff to discuss career interests and post-graduation plans.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers to secure externships and job placements for graduates.
  • Manage job orders, present graduates' resumes, schedule interviews, and follow up with employers and graduates.
  • Provide career counseling and job search assistance to students and graduates.
  • Assist current students in securing part-time employment through job boards and individual service as needed.
  • Plan Program Advisory Meetings with the Deans of Academic Affairs.
  • Manage externship staff, obtain externship sites, and ensure timely placement of students.
  • Build community involvement through job fairs, employer presentations, and on-campus interviews.
  • Maintain accurate graduate and alumni placement data via Campus Nexxus.
  • Submit required reports for AHED leadership, accrediting agency, and state licensing board (if applicable).
  • Meet placement benchmarks for ACCSC, ABHES, and JRDMS (if applicable).
  • Ensure Career Services bulletin boards are maintained and updated.
  • Deliver presentations to students, graduates, and alumni on career development and services.
  • Conduct surveys to ensure programs meet employer needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by Campus Directors.
  • Obtain graduate and employer testimonials.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years Microsoft Office experience required: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in career services or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years staff management experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional social interaction skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach and positive attitude.
  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude.
  • Consistently display the highest levels of integrity.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and work a flexible schedule.
  • Experience with Campus Nexxus application a plus.
