Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Sunrise Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents/patients, working under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON. Your primary focus will be on assessing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care for a group of residents/patients for a shift of duty. You will adhere to the standards of care for the area, manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety, and supervise the resident/patient care activity performance by nursing assistants and helpers. You will also follow all North Shore's policies and procedures, as well as perform duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to residents/patients through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
Adhere to the standards of care for the area and manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety.
Supervise the resident/patient care activity performance by nursing assistants and helpers.
Follow all North Shore's policies and procedures, as well as perform duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards.

Requirements:

Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Must have and maintain current CPR certification.
Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.).
Able to calculate drug dosage.
Meets all health requirements imposed by law.
Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Previous post-acute care experience preferred.
