Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab & Wastewater Treatment Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with pH/neutralization titrations and ability to differentiate subtle color changes consistently
• Mathematical competence and ability to read and follow procedural documents
• Familiarity with common laboratory equipment, including pH meters, analytical balances, and spectrophotometers
• Ability to maintain key wastewater treatment parameters on an hourly basis
• Good record keeping skills and ability to communicate with all levels of employees
• Willingness to perform manual labor, including moving 55-gallon drums and lifting 50 lbs. occasionally
• Comfortable working with chemical hazards and good close-up vision
• Academic background in science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, etc.) or lab/wastewater treatment experience
• Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access
• Strong familiarity with chemical terminology and understanding of chemical hazards

Requirements:

• Occasional mandatory overtime
• Ability to modify work schedule on an as-needed basis for coverage
• Willingness and ability to function as a first responder
• Ability to work with a varied group of individuals and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ability to work with the stress associated with a production environment and willingness to ask questions and understand personal limitations
• Ability and willingness to use a respirator
