Position Overview:

Tetra Tech's High-Performance Building Division is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager with expertise in both government and commercial facility projects. This role involves acting as the primary liaison for clients and consultants throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and management of a diverse portfolio of projects, focusing on profitability, quality, safety, and client satisfaction while adhering to project scope, schedule, budget, and contractual obligations.
  • Participate in project meetings, documenting minutes and tracking action items.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance protocols.
  • Prepare essential project documentation, including work breakdown structures, risk registers, and decision logs.
  • Assist in the formulation of governance documents such as Project Execution Plans and Risk Management Plans.
  • Manage project change control processes effectively.
  • Utilize your knowledge of planning and scheduling to navigate contract administration and safety considerations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification in any U.S. state.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing complex projects.
  • Relevant experience in the Electrical Engineering sector, particularly in renewable energy, power generation, or substation design.
  • Proficiency in utility coordination and a solid understanding of safety and contract issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with a track record of maintaining successful client relationships.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Eligibility to obtain a government security clearance due to the nature of the work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with USACE/NAVFAC/USAF project management systems.
  • Experience in managing large-scale electric utility projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, cost estimates, resource requirements, and schedules.
  • Experience in monitoring and updating technology roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with electric utility distribution system engineering and design.
  • Experience in construction support, including bidding assistance and field observations.
  • Ability to create partnerships with stakeholders to enhance project execution processes.
