As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your primary responsibility will be to conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy machinery and associated equipment.

Ensuring that all equipment is safe and properly maintained is crucial, as they play a vital role in operational efficiency.

IN THIS POSITION,

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Performing routine maintenance on our heavy machinery fleet and related equipment, including forklifts, service trucks, scissor lifts, and small engines;
Diagnosing and resolving a variety of mechanical issues;
Adjusting, replacing, and repairing components of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems;
Monitoring the performance of repaired engines;
Keeping the Maintenance Supervisor informed about the status of engines;
Interpreting maintenance and repair manuals;
Carrying out additional tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Strong mechanical aptitude;
Analytical thinking;
Attention to detail;
Resourcefulness.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to climb stairs and ladders; work at heights;
Frequently lift and carry weights between 30-50 lbs and occasionally between 50-70 lbs;
Stand and walk for extended periods;
Work above shoulder level;
Endure varying weather conditions, including hot and cold environments;
Work in confined spaces;
Must possess personal tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification or training as a Diesel Mechanic or in a related field;
