About the RoleIn this part-time position, you'll work under the supervision of medical directors to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring tracing quality and identifying signal abnormalities.
- Documenting routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
- Scoring sleep studies in an accurate and timely manner.
- Exercising independent clinical judgment within the scope of practice.
You'll also be responsible for evaluating situations/patient conditions that require clinical intervention, ensuring no patient condition deteriorates as a result of misjudgment.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
- Succesful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility, or an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology.
- Current licensure with the North Carolina Medical Board.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of experience performing sleep studies, including PAP titrations.
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $62,000 and $70,000, depending on your level of experience. You'll also enjoy variable hours and overtime-exempt status.
