Our practice is dedicated to delivering a range of therapeutic services to various educational institutions, including public and private schools.
The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate with fellow professionals to ensure effective support, maintaining a balanced caseload that allows for adequate direct and indirect therapy time for planning and documentation.
- Design and execute high-quality speech and language therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy activities.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to address the unique requirements of each student.
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) focused on enhancing communication skills, including expressive and receptive language, social skills, and articulation.
- Contribute to the IEP planning process with informed recommendations.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress.
- Evaluate student advancement and provide recommendations for extended school year services.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies.
- Stay informed on the latest developments and best practices in speech and language therapy.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply with mentorship available).
- Valid licensure in Speech Language Pathology from the appropriate state education department.
- Certification as a School Speech Language Pathologist (K-12) with assistance available for obtaining this certification.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
- Completion of all educational and certification requirements listed above.
