Velosity Companies is seeking a highly skilled Director of Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce cycle times, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all molding operations
- Recruit, hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Operations leaders and independent contributors
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies, Six Sigma principles, and other relevant tools
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and efficiency, and take corrective actions as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in leading technical staff within a molding operations or machining environment
- Proven experience in managing large-scale molding operations, preferably in industries such as plastics and medical devices
- Strong background and experience in thermoplastic injection molding
- Experience in a contract manufacturing environment is highly desired
