Job Title: Administrative Support Professional

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Administrative Support Professional at the Cass County Extension Office. As a key member of our office staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional administrative support to our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to provide administrative support to our county office. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing administrative assistance to our program staff, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and preparing reports.
  • Supporting our 4-H program, including coordinating events, managing databases, and providing logistical support.
  • Maintaining accurate records and files, including tracking progress, documenting activities, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Handling day-to-day operations, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing mail and packages.

What We Offer:
The University of Minnesota offers a competitive salary range of $21.69-$24.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours per week, with additional hours required during peak periods. You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience in administration, customer service, or a similar field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Suite.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
