Caregiver Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Riley's Grove Assisted Living. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing comfort, safety, and general supervision to our residents, assisting them with activities of daily living, administering medications, and tending to their individual care needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and document completion
- Review eMAR each shift to ensure timely administration of medications and treatments
- Review incoming medication physician orders for accuracy. Update eMAR accordingly
- Partner with residents to provide needed/requested assistance with activities of daily living as outlined in the residents' service plans
- Answer resident call lights, as well as door and safety alarms promptly
- Observe and report resident behavior and condition changes to Care Coordinator and Director of Resident Care
- Order/re-order medications to ensure adequate supply is available
- Complete daily charting, documentation, and reporting as required
- Obtain resident weights and vitals
- Participate in training new employees as requested
- Clean and disinfect resident rooms, work areas and common spaces according to cleaning schedule
- Clean and disinfect spills and soiled areas as needed or directed
- Assist with meal set up and clean up as needed or requested
- Participate in or lead activities as planned by Life Enrichment. Assist and remind residents to participate in activities
- Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors
- Remain awake and alert while on shift

Requirements:- High school diploma/GED is required
- CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office in a Windows environment, with a capacity to master company specific software
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
