Role Overview
Cybersecurity is a cornerstone of our operations at Currency Cloud. It is vital for maintaining our reputation as a trusted provider in the fintech industry. Every team member plays a crucial role in protecting sensitive information, preventing unauthorized access, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will be integrated into our Cloud Security division, which is part of our broader Cybersecurity framework. This team of experts is responsible for managing the security of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring safe and effective adoption of cloud technologies within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of Currency Cloud's cloud security strategy, contributing to the architecture and roadmap of our cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for cloud engineers.
  • Implement security measures for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Design and develop secure cloud-native solutions and core services across various cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Assess the security posture of applications migrating to cloud environments and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of security awareness and collaboration.
  • Research emerging technologies to enhance our cloud security capabilities.
  • Act as a representative for cloud security initiatives, working closely with product and business teams.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of public cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Proven expertise in cloud security principles and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Experience in developing scalable cloud security solutions and effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in automation and programming, particularly with Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and guide them on cloud security architecture.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, PCI, and GDPR.

Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel and will be performed in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration.
