Role Overview
Cybersecurity is a core component of Currency Cloud's operational ethos. It is vital for preserving our reputation as a leader in the fintech industry, and every team member plays a crucial role in protecting sensitive information and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Team Dynamics
The successful candidate will join the Cloud Security division, which is integral to our broader cybersecurity framework. This team of security experts is responsible for overseeing the security measures associated with our cloud infrastructure, ensuring a secure and efficient transition to cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the Cloud Security initiatives and contribute to the architectural strategy and roadmap for cloud platforms.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements for cloud engineers.
3. Implement cloud security strategies that support our multi-cloud environment across various service providers.
4. Design and evaluate secure cloud-native platforms and core services across public and private cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
5. Mentor and guide team members and stakeholders on cloud security best practices.
6. Research emerging technologies to enhance our security posture and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 5 years with an Advanced Degree.
  • Proven expertise in public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Experience in automation programming, particularly with Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as NIST, PCI, and GDPR.

Work Environment
This position is hybrid, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work, with expectations for in-office presence as determined by leadership.
