Join Our Team as a Dermatology Professor

The Department of Dermatology at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a full-time or part-time, tenure-track or non-tenure-track, open rank Professor of Dermatology specializing in Mohs Surgery. The Department sees approximately 25,000 visits at its main campus and is looking for a second Mohs surgeon to complement our team of clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching of residents and medical students
  • Direct patient care
  • Participation in scholarly activities

About the Department:

The University of Virginia Department of Dermatology, founded in 1924, is the oldest dermatology department in the South. Its mission is to enrich the quality of human life by improving health, to produce excellent and compassionate care for our patients, to advance the field of dermatology, to seek medical and scientific knowledge, and to create an environment for professional preparation of individuals dedicated to health care service in the field of Dermatology.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree
  • ABMS board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology
  • Fellowship trained in Mohs Surgery
  • Eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
