Job Title: Patient Access Assistant I - Family Medicine Crossroads

WellSpan Health is seeking a Patient Access Assistant I to join our team in Family Medicine Crossroads. As a Patient Access Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. Your primary responsibility will be to register patients, collect demographic and financial information, and verify insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register patients and collect demographic and financial information
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6-8 week in-house registration procedures and medical terminology courses
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
