MRI Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MRI Assistant to join our team at WellSpan Health. As an MRI Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MRI department, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our technologists in all non-technical aspects of imaging examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist technologists in preparing patients for MRI exams, including obtaining and verifying patient information, positioning patients, and documenting imaging procedures.
  • Coordinate the screening process for both MRI units, ensuring efficient workflow and prioritizing tasks as needed.
  • Obtain previous studies and reports for technologists, and ensure accurate and complete information prior to completing the study in Radiology Information System.
  • Provide high-quality positioning to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs, and ensure safe imaging practices at all times.
  • Schedule patient studies, complete appropriate paperwork, and track patient exams using the RIS/PACS.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Heartsaver CPR/AED certification within 180 days.
