The LPN I position entails delivering both direct and indirect nursing services in accordance with the standards set by the Georgia Board of Nursing and our organizational protocols, all under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Physician. This role is essential in educating patients, facilitating care coordination, and working collaboratively with the Health Care Team to provide exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for consultations by reviewing medical history, gathering clinical data, taking vital signs, and documenting findings in medical records.
- Address care gaps during patient interactions.
- Set up examination rooms and equipment for procedures while assisting healthcare practitioners.
- Initiate nursing interventions and record patient responses to treatments.
- Participate in emergency response as directed.
- Educate patients and supply preparatory materials for diagnostic tests.
- Schedule patient appointments as instructed.
- Monitor and respond to messages related to patient or provider inquiries.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
- Involve patients, families, and caregivers in the care coordination process.
- Address and resolve patient concerns in a timely manner.
- Provide orientation and training for new staff members.
- Oversee unlicensed personnel in the delivery of patient care.
- May undertake additional assigned responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- N/A
Education
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (LPN/LVN)
License, Certification, Registration
- Valid Practical Nurse License (Georgia) required
- Basic Life Support certification required
Additional Requirements:
- Completion of a Customer Service Assessment
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least six (6) months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude for customer service
