Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax Senior Manager to join our growing national Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax practice. As a member of our M&A Tax team, you will play a critical role providing advice to our clients and firm personnel in the areas of financial instruments, corporate, and M&A tax.

Responsibilities
  • Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, communicating findings and opportunities to clients.
  • Identify and develop high-value tax opportunities for our clients.
  • Assist clients on a range of financial instrument and related M&A tax issues, such as recapitalization, restructuring, and bankruptcy transactions, classification, sales, exchanges of financial instruments, deductibility of interest, and hedging transactions.
  • Plan, manage, and execute on advice engagements with limited supervision.
  • Develop, motivate, and train team members.
Qualifications
  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of federal tax experience with financial instruments and/or mergers and acquisition experience in a public accounting firm, a corporate tax department, or a law firm or comparable experience.
  • Requires one of the following: Active CPA, EA, or JD.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments and/or corporate tax matters in various industries.
  • Project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm.
