Position Summary:

We are looking for skilled Cable Technicians for a local structured cabling role. This position offers a fantastic chance to establish your career with a reliable company specializing in telecommunications and structured cabling solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Install and manage CAT5 or CAT 6 cabling within a data center or new commercial construction.
  • Terminate communication jacks.
  • Organize and terminate distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels).
  • Conduct cable testing and troubleshoot networking problems.
  • Set up support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a cable technician or installer in structured cabling.
  • Possession of essential cabling tools and personal protective equipment: punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, hard hat, boots, safety glasses, etc.
  • Knowledge of BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards is advantageous.
  • Adherence to OSHA safety regulations is required.
  • Familiarity with standard color coding is necessary.
