Job Summary

The Insurance Verification Representative plays a critical role in ensuring that all notification, verification, and authorization activities are completed for Hospital Services. This position interfaces with parents, Medi-Cal, California Children Services (CCS), Managed Care, third-party payers, and physicians to facilitate the insurance verification process.

Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
  • Obtain necessary medical information from physicians and clinics
  • Update demographic and insurance information in the STAR system
  • Work with financial counselors to identify alternative sources of coverage
  • Coordinate with Clinical Care Coordinators (CCCs) and Physician offices/clinics
Requirements

6 months to 1 year of hospital registration experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
