Job Title: Police Officer

As a Police Officer at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a unique opportunity to serve the community and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce laws and regulations to ensure a safe and secure campus environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and interact with the community in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet the requirements to become a sworn Police Officer in North Carolina.
  • NC Basic Law Enforcement Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Valid NC Drivers' License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a law enforcement agency.
  • Current NC Probationary Law Enforcement Certification.
  • AAS Degree or higher.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification or EMT Certification.
  • Proficiency in a foreign language.
