Job Title: Business Development Representative

Harmony Recovery is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our marketing and outreach team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote our services and build relationships with key professionals and community members.

Primary Function:

This position is primarily responsible for performing offsite outreach communications and tasks necessary to accomplish the three objectives of Business Development: Marketing, Alumni Services, and Philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with key professionals and other community members who can assist individuals in accessing our services.
  • Work with team members to implement and maintain a comprehensive marketing and education program geared to the specific needs of Harmony Recovery and our referral community.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Alumni and Recovery Support Services to grow alumni referrals.
  • Attend local and regional conferences and workshops to promote Harmony Recovery and build new relationships.
  • Manage a book of business in assigned markets.
  • Schedule and host on-site visits on the Harmony campus, and assist Philanthropy in fund-raising events as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge and adhere to Harmony policies and procedures.
  • Manage data entry and account tracking with Salesforce CRM.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the field of marketing, sales, or business development.
  • Previous experience in the addictions field and/or with non-profit organization preferred.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and produce measurable and positive marketing results.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record if driving a Harmony vehicle or driving for Harmony business.
  • If recovering from a substance use disorder, 12 months of continuous sobriety required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Skilled in contacting potential referral sources, donors, and organizations that have an interest in the field of addictions.
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of large audiences and small groups.
  • Skilled in effectively managing competing demands and simultaneous deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
  • Proven ability to motivate self and others.
  • Is teachable, can follow instructions, and build relationships in a team-oriented environment.
  • Personal maturity reflected by sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Ability to work a variety of hours throughout the work week.
  • Ability to track and maintain records on work performed.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to relate with detachment, understanding, and empathy to clients and their families.
