Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodial Supervisor to join our team at West Ada School District. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our school facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and monitor building cleaning and maintenance tasks, exercising onsite supervision and evaluation, and providing direction to custodial staff members;
  • Prepare work orders for repairs and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure a clean and safe environment;
  • Supervise and train custodial staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively;
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient operation of our facilities;
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of school custodial experience preferred;
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at the 8th grade level;
  • Ability to complete basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division at the 8th grade level;
  • Ability to lift objects up to 70 pounds and stand for up to four hours;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and the public.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings. The Custodial Supervisor will be required to work in areas with only artificial light, work within a tightly enclosed area, and work while exposed to unpleasant odors and allergenic substances.
