Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodial Supervisor to join our team at West Ada School District. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our school facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and monitor building cleaning and maintenance tasks, exercising onsite supervision and evaluation, and providing direction to custodial staff members;
  • Prepare work orders for repairs and maintain accurate records;
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal facility conditions;
  • Supervise and train custodial staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively;
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication;
  • Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance or cleaning issues;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve facility conditions and reduce maintenance costs;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and district policies;
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in custodial supervision or a related field;
  • Proven track record of effective leadership and supervision;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks;
  • Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures and protocols;
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and concisely, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
