Job Summary

The Maintenance & Metrology Supervisor will provide technical support for facility, utility, lab, and manufacturing equipment and associated instruments. This role will ensure that any modification, installation, preventative maintenance, calibration, operational support, repair, or troubleshooting activity is properly staffed and supported in compliance with engineering specifications, FDA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support for facility, utility, lab, and manufacturing equipment and associated instruments.
  • Maintenance and Calibration: Ensure that maintenance and calibration activities are performed in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Equipment Management: Coordinate the maintenance, calibration, and repair of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Quality Assurance: Support Quality Assurance investigations of breakdowns and calibration failures.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Leadership: Supervise maintenance mechanics and calibration technicians, providing guidance and direction to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and production to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical problems related to equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a similar FDA-regulated environment.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel. Strong project management and process improvement skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Environment

The Maintenance & Metrology Supervisor will work in a fast-paced production environment with multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively as a team member or team leader, with excellent time and project management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-changing work environment.
