About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Value Analysis Program Manager to join our team at Augusta Health. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will play a critical role in supporting the clinical value analysis function and contributing to the achievement of supply expense reduction targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product/Service Development
    • Investigate new or alternative products/services to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved quality.
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote the selection of the most effective and economical quality products/services.
    • Monitor cost performance measures to analyze and understand underlying cost drivers in product/service expenditures.
    • Collaborate with Finance colleagues to determine the impact of product/service selections on revenue and accounting cycles.
    • Participate in the planning and implementation of approved product/service conversions.
    • Stay current on technology, regulatory, and operational trends in the healthcare industry that may impact product/service utilization.
  • Product/Service Evaluation
    • Coordinate product/service evaluations and trials to ensure the proper use of products, use of appropriate evaluation criteria, documentation of evaluation outcomes, and consultation with necessary personnel.
    • Collaborate with evaluators and suppliers to obtain necessary products/services for evaluation as needed.
    • Ensure written summaries and cost analyses are prepared and recommendations are made relative to evaluated products/services.
    • Streamline the new product evaluation and introduction process to maximize clinical customer satisfaction.
    • Interact with physicians, clinicians, and allied health professionals to determine needs and initiate supply/service evaluation processes.
  • Team Building and Collaboration
    • Guide Value Analysis Team (VAT) members and chairpersons relative to value analysis processes.
    • Identify the need for VAT to interact with all applicable departments to ensure safety, regulatory, and epidemiology issues are addressed prior to product selection.
    • Facilitate discussions in VAT meetings.
  • Information Resource
    • Act as a project sponsor on value analysis investigations as needed.
    • Help identify data/information requirements for Value Analysis initiatives.
    • Supplement knowledge bases with available resources within and outside the organization to effectively accomplish various duties.
    • Provide benchmarking expertise and information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in clinical science with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Advanced clinical degree and/or Master's in Business Administration, Health Science, or related discipline preferred.
  • Registered Nurse or other Certified or Registered clinician in a recognized field such as Respiratory, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, etc. required.
