Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve meals and snacks to children aged infant to six years in a group setting.
  • Coordinate meal service and assist with basic food preparation based on the provided menu.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and manage laundry duties.
  • Prepare food as needed in the absence of the Kitchen Coordinator.
  • Adhere to health regulations set by local health authorities.
  • Ensure the serving area is properly cleaned and sanitized after each meal.
  • Manage laundry tasks including sorting and washing linens and clothing as per schedule.
  • Ensure children with dietary restrictions receive appropriate meals.
  • Assist with dishwashing and maintaining organization in storage areas.
  • Complete daily checklists and maintain compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: Previous food service experience is preferred; experience in childcare is a plus. Strong customer service skills are essential.

Certifications: Infant and Child CPR and First Aid certification is required or must be obtained during employment, with renewal every two years.
